Hey I am going to TSE at the end of this month to get my second dog. Is anyone going to be in this class?
Sorry won't be in the class. Wanted to wish you a good trip and a good time at TSE. I was there back in Feb. 2003 and enjoyed my time there.
I'm here now and It's great! Willow and I are doing fine!

Good luck with your dog! I just have a regular dog named Daisy! She was abused by her former owner! My mom wants me to get a guide dog! She says something has to happen to Daisy first! I pray every day that God keeps Daisy safe! I got Daisy shortly after my Dad died! Daisy means a lot to me!
I'm headed to the seeing eye in september if all goes well. I'm looking forward to it! Just not to the getting up at five thirty in the morning part. But it'll be worth it because it'll be for my four legged friend/travel companion.

she was a black lab but I got kicked out of training the day before my birthday and I had only 8 days left so I don't have Willow Anymore. I just hope the next person to get her will be nice to her

Oh, I'm willing to bet that a great many people know of him, if not him personally. I have heard of him and both my friends Amanda and Brad have spoken with him in person at length. Why were you kicked out of class? That sounds pretty extreme and also a real bummer in such close proximity to your birthday.

Hi all. i just came back from the seeing eye with my new dog. He's a male lab golden cross named Nuncio. we're doing well.
I want to go to the seeing eye, but I'm not ready yet. I want to go after high school, which would mean in about 2 years. When should I start applying?
If you want to go in the summer right after you graduate, start the application that winter. Like, decemberish.
My suggestion wait if you're going to college wait until you have a year under your belt otherwise you will be getting used to both a college campus and a guide dog at the same time.

I think that if you can go between your junior and senior year of high school then you will have a year before you go to college to really get used to your new dog.
I also think that it is also good if you can't go during the summer between your junior and senior years of high school you will still be fine going after you graduat from high school.
I have heard of a lot of people getting their dogs before they go to college for the first time. And they did very well.
